Dr. P D Bhutia is currently attached to the Neotia Getwel Healthcare Centre, Siliguri as Senior Consultant Internal Medicine.
He brings in vast experience garnered by his years of association with multiple hospitals and health care centers across the country. His interest in cardiology coupled with his training with Apollo Hospitals in Advanced Cardiology and close collaboration with renowned cardiologists has helped him excel in this field.
He is registered with Indian Medical Association (IMA), Association of Physicians of India (API) and Gastroenterology Society of India (GES). He is presently involved in the research of ‘To decrease the Chest Infection among Tea Garden Workers in North Bengal’ with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in association with fellow colleagues. Alongside, he is a participant in the ‘EDGE’ Study – the largest ever Trail on Gliptin and Metformin – a stepping milestone in the field of diabetics.
Dr. Bhutia is the proud recipient of the Distinguished Bangaratna Sanman and the ‘Bishishta Chikitasha Samman’ bestowed on him by the Govt. of West Bengal for his noble contribution towards society. A keen environmentalist and nature lover, he is passionate about promoting organic farming in order to preserve natural resources.
