School initiatives help students step beyond the classroom into service, environmental awareness and parent partnership. Community responsibility becomes part of school life.
01Purpose
A school life that reaches beyond marks and games.
School life includes academics, games, friendships and the responsibilities students carry beyond them. It also gives students ways to understand social issues and take part in work beyond academic goals.
At Sri Sri Academy, these initiatives connect students, families and the wider community through practical work on campus and beyond it.
02Go Green
Students learn responsibility by caring for the ground under their feet.
The Go Green initiative builds clean and green consciousness through practical activity. Students work on reducing, reusing and recycling. They also conserve water, manage waste and care for plants and animals.
Students paint cloth bags and upcycle old objects. They also help care for a vegetable patch on campus. These small practices make environmental responsibility visible and practical.
03Community service
Service gives empathy a practical shape.
Students make handmade cards, vases, frames and paintings during Art and Craft classes for the annual Carnival for a Cause. The proceeds support a neighbourhood school.
Cleanliness drives with The Art of Living Foundation help students speak with local residents about health and hygiene. They also discuss paper bags, dustbins and the everyday choices that keep surroundings clean.
04Parents as partners
Families are part of the learning environment.
Parents are kept connected through orientation, parent-teacher meetings and school management software. ERP updates, circulars and emails keep daily communication visible.
Parents and grandparents are invited into competitions, classroom activities and projects. Career counselling conversations also help students experience school and family as connected support systems.
Students understand community when they are trusted with real work: planting, cleaning and making. They also learn by sharing and showing up for others.
